Nokia X, X+and XL – ‘Project N’ Android Phones Surface Finally

Nokia-X-Dual-SIM

Nokia’s Android phones, X, X+ and XL finally surfaces after a few months of leaked hypes and media fuzz. The phones, which surfaced today, resemble more like the LUMIA models, except with a forked operating system from their rivals. The forked Android version houses the core functionality, but still Nokia made a huge tweak with their custom UI design that closely falls within the Windows 8.1 style. While Nokia is yet to be acquired completely by Microsoft in a few months, these phones are believed to leverage Microsoft services from this platform.

It is also clear that the apps will be available not from the Google play store, but from a modified Nokia store and Yandex store. Nokia made the phone closely overlaying their in-house and existing features from its partner, Microsoft, and at the same time it did a huge work in forking it deep enough so that it wouldn’t have to pitch at any Google services for any requirements.

The price of the phones, according to Steve Elop, is globally available at the price tags of – 125$ X | 135$  X+ | 150$  XL

The specs of the phone justify the low price tags, as Nokia hand-picked the cheapest chip makers to build the phone. The key specs are as follows and the complete specs can be found at Nokia’s spec pages.
